Darcy is great. She has an improv background and is very funny and from the interviews I’ve heard of her, she seems like such a nice person. There is an “official” the good place podcast hosted by the guy who plays Shawn in the show and it’s really great. It would air right after an episode and the whole podcast episode would be about that one episode of TV. All of the main actors and writers and behind the scenes people appear. The podcast episode for this episode of the show is very fascinating to listen to. Darcy breaks down how they accomplished the episode. She said that the regular actors would perform the scene first (they didn’t get the week off) and that would give Darcy a starting point in how she would play it. And then she’d step in and try to do it the same way. Pretty interesting

Actually she played SIX distinct characters, because there was Neutral Janet too. You might as well learn the actress's name, because I'm sure we'll see big things from her in years to come. D'ARCY CARDEN. The first name (because I've heard people wonder about it) is pronounced just Darcy, 2 syllables. In fact Darcy was her original name; she added the apostrophe for her stage name. She has said that her mom still kids her about that by signing her emails "M'om."
