Didn't he tell Jamie he was going to stay somewhere else so he couldn't take care of Harrison and needed to heal for a few days? Cause I think it's been like less than 3 days since he was gassed. Outside of that I have no idea.

As it is we have no idea whatsoever what they told Jamie. I can't think of a single excuse for Dexter staying at Deb's house.
