2021-01-31 19:11:30 +0000 UTCI mean ...imagine writing a character in a certain way, then it turns out the actress who will portray it makes the "we have to hate her" character extremly likable so u try ur best to get the character where U wanted it to be in UR show ...u know ... and ur not even just writing it out at once ... ur actually trying to keep the character in and just return to UR vision of UR charcter that U created ... and still in the end everyone is mad at U for trying to make UR vision in UR show how U wanted it ^^ so strange... Its like someone coming to ur house and changing ur decor because UR house doesnt fit HIS taste ^^

2021-01-31 19:08:48 +0000 UTCThis is the breaking season for Quinn because the main writer for Glee didn’t like the actress in real life because he wanted everyone to hate her character and when fans started to like Quinn he blamed her acting skills. So as you notice he gives her the troubling storylines and selfish plots over and over again until she leaves the show. I hate Ryan Murphy😒

2021-01-27 04:41:38 +0000 UTCI completely agree with this! Quinn is one of the few characters that was challenged the most and completely lost everything at only 16. Rachel has everything but every time she throws a fit everyone is there to make her feel better. I wish Quinn got more help from adults and not just chewed out because she actually did help Glee Club a lot example when she blackmailed Sue into giving them a page in the yearbook, she also helped Mercedes a lot with her insecurities in season one but everyone forgets about her good deeds.

2021-01-27 04:39:44 +0000 UTCWhile it was performed extremely well, Kurt's audition song was the wrong choice for the role for which he was auditioning. His song choice would have been more suitable for a more character based role, like Officer Krupkie than the romantic lead of Tony.

2021-01-26 06:02:51 +0000 UTCI will get into my feelings on Rachel in the next Reaction but all I will say is that I agree that Rachel shouldn’t assume that the lead is going to go to her, but IMO a lot of that is due to mr schue. This leads me to Quinn. I am in no way saying that Quinn’s actions are ok, but rewatching these episodes makes me so angry at the way Quinn is treated especially in the scene with Will. Quinn has very obviously hit a breaking point. We’ve seen in the last 2 seasons how alone Quinn actually is. She was disowned by her dad and has a emotionally unavailable mom who is now working all the time due to her parents divorce. Everything she’s done in the last 2 seasons has been just so she can feel loved and accepted and when she failed to get back to where she was before Beth, she broke. How many times have we seen mr schue chase after Finn or Rachel when they were dealing with something and tried to help them? Why is not one adult trying to reach out to Quinn? Mr Schue knows what she’s been through and can see what she’s doing and instead of trying to help her, he calls her a train wreck and tells her to grow up and stop being so selfish. What a teacher. When it comes to Kurt, the issue was not in the initial discussion about whether he could pass but in what happened in the auditorium. They assumed he couldn’t pass without even giving him a chance. Just because Kurt is an effeminate person doesn’t mean he can’t act masculine. I thought he was doing a great job as Romeo and them laughing at him was awful. You also have to remember that this is happening 10 years ago. There is a lot more opportunities in terms of different types of characters now than there was then, and we still have a long way to go in terms of representation. So kurt being so upset is completely valid because he wants to have a career as an actor and if he’s not able to pass, then he would have very limited opportunities or even none. It was valid for the directors to question whether he could pass or not, but they judged his acting abilities without even giving him a chance and that is the issue.

2021-01-25 16:42:16 +0000 UTCIn laryngitis the others weren’t working as hard because they weren’t motivated because they knew the solos were going to go to Rachel anyway. Yes, Rachel works hard and goes for what she wants and I don’t fault her for that, but there are also countless examples of her putting others down so she can get what she wants. Just because she works hard doesn’t mean she always deserves to be the star.

2021-01-25 15:38:45 +0000 UTCnarcissists are the most insecure people. and im not saying she's full blown but she has tendencies. she tells herself she's the best because she HAS to hear it to believe it so when she doesn't get it it BLOWS HER because she really doesn't feel that way. Im was VERY similar in highschool with theater. its a toxic way to think but its all insicurity.

2021-01-25 15:34:27 +0000 UTCI think it’s a 50/50 kinda deal, yes Rachel does practice probably more than anyone, if I remember her morning routine back in season 1 and I don’t think that anybody has ever really and I mean REALLY tried to go against her and put in as much work as she does HOWEVER I think we have to look at Will Schuster, it’s no secret that he’s always put more interest in Rachel and Finn than anyone else, he talks fairness but he is guilty of having favourite’s and I think that both Rachel and Finn have picked up in that and therefore believe that because of this there shoe ins to get the lead part or the main character. In my opinion Will likes to baby the glee club and always give them praise, never really telling them what they did wrong, so this makes them believe they did no wrong and that they are perfect. Which in some cases like Rachel and a few others inflates their ego and doesn’t allow them to grow as performers because they already believe they are the best. I’m not going to spoil anything but in season 4 Rachel will Definitely get a reality check. I’m not saying that I don’t love Rachel, I do, I find her funny and talented but she needs to learn that despite how talented she, is there will always be someone more talented and she will learn that.

2021-01-25 09:35:02 +0000 UTCI agree with everything you said in regards to Rachel. Rachel does get everything handed to her. People keep on saying it's because she works harder or wants it more, but she only works hard because she EXPECTS to be rewarded all the time. The others don't "work as hard" as she does, or otherwise, become completely fixated and obsessed with their own talent, because they would still not be rewarded as much as she is. They have been putting in the work, and Rachel still gets whatever she wants. She even throws a fit on the very rare occasion that she doesn't get a solo. The Kurt stuff is rough... I understand why Kurt is hurt. It's hard as an actor to feel like you will never get to play a whole genre of roles essentially because of your identity. I think there would be room for a West Side Story where Kurt could play the lead, but because this is a traditional production of the show, their comments on Kurt make a lot of sense - he would not be believable as a Tony in this production. Blaine on the other hand? Incredible. Stellar. Pure excellence. Something's Coming was my favorite performance in the episode and probably my favorite song from the musical.

2021-01-25 09:18:59 +0000 UTCI mean Rachel constantly says and has proven she works harder then anyone bc she wants it more then anyone she’s worked all her life for it since she was a baby

2021-01-25 06:25:20 +0000 UTCLook at Laryngitis and the first Mash Up episode. In the Mash Up she tried to get the girls to practice, but they were overconfident that the guys would lose and didn't see the need to try. Mercedes also tried to take credit for the mashup arrangement despite it being Rachel's idea to do those songs. The only one singing in practice was rachel, causing her to lose her voice.

2021-01-25 06:05:56 +0000 UTCYeah, I do notice Rachel does get handed everything to her. People are going to come for me saying “she works hard for it” but I don’t know. She doesn’t because no one even tries. It just seems like an ongoing cycle of her screaming she’s the best, everyone telling her off, she gets sad or mad, everyone agrees with her and starts that “she’s annoying but talented” speech then she gets what she wants. I just wish the show was more realistic sometimes. It’s kinda bad on the writers part but it is what is it.
