I liked everything about this episode but I LOVED Brit's Run the World (Girls) cover. Even the way Santana looked so damn proud of her girl the entire song was pure gold.

I love Mercedes standing up for herself, Kurt being supportive of Blaine even though he was hurting, and mikes amazing voice. It was his voice. Harry worked really hard to improve his voice for the show. I don’t love the Asian stereotypes they are perpetuating, but I love mike getting his chance to shine.

2021-02-01 07:28:26 +0000 UTCLove this episode so much, but it's always frustrating looking back on the Mercedes storyline - all of a sudden, she's the weakest dancer in the group, even worse than Finn? She can't complete one dance move? Give me a break. That has never been a problem for Mercedes before. And somehow, this weird thread about Mercedes being "lazy" and not working hard enough gets re-introduced when it's not consistent with literally any other thing that she has done on this show. It feels like my intelligence is being insulted. With all of this, I'm not sure if I agree with her decision to walk away from West Side Story or Glee Club, but I certainly understand her frustrations that have essentially piled up over the years. I could see myself doing the same thing. Kurt's speech to Rachel hit the nail on the head, but I was slightly annoyed that he thinks that things might change if he were to be president and not Brittany, who is also a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

2021-02-01 06:10:36 +0000 UTCI loved that Mike and Mercedes were the center of this episode, and as much as I like Finn and Rachel we always get way too much of them and it's nice to have a change and to have storylines focusing on other characters. Personally, I believe that Mercedes deserved the part and she had every right to be angry with the double casting when they weren't doing that for any other part. Rachel is always picked for everything and gets special treatment and its bs when Mercedes is just as talented if not more talented than her. The whole Mercedes is lazy bs is stupid af, Rachel literally doesn't do shit on stage she just stands there and sings. I am glad Mercedes stood up to everyone and is doing what is best for her. Also, Mikes storyline was so beautiful this episode I loved everything about it and his voice improved so much it was great. Also, Rachel was extremely selfish running against Kurt when she knows how much this election means to him, she really did not care about her "friend" and was only thinking of herself which was really shitty. Lastly, i'm not a fan of emma and will storylines majority of the time but their storyline was pretty good and made me really feel bad for Emma. Im excited for you to get deeper into the season!
