I am not sure if any closure was needed, Eliot Ness is a real person so there is no worrying if anything bad happened to him. And the reason why Kronos told Sam his future was because that is what the spell they used was specifically for. Sam said it was used to summon Kronos and compel him to tell you what your future was.
