I personally just don’t like the storyline where they are on earth nearly as much as the ones in “the good place” in the first two seasons. For me, not having our core 4 not know each other is a problem. All of the relationship development between them is gone and I don’t like that. I’m glad that you are still liking it just as much but this is where the show started to lose me personally and my interest waned a little bit

2020-10-22 19:23:29 +0000 UTCThanks for the great reaction! I too would put this at an 8, but this series is so good that even the "in-between high points" episodes are still enormous fun to watch. I'm glad that in your skim through at the end, you paused on the "new Mount Rushmore" in the restaurant. The show is full of freeze-frame-worthy shots like that. Another thing The Good Place does really well is getting to new plot developments way quicker than we, the jaded TV audience, ever expect. I thought Eleanor's public confession that she didn't belong would be the finale of Season 1, but she did it halfway through. Then, I figured that it would take all of Season 2 for the humans to figure things out again, but they did it in one episode. (And then again 800 more times in the next episode!) Now it looked like Trevor was going to be the obstacle for all of Season 3, but by the end of episode 2, he's gone. I do love a quick-witted series!
