I always liked Marley better with Ryder.

2023-02-09 18:30:35 +0000 UTCfinn was very right in this episodes about the whole unique situation...if she identifies as a female then okay she should definitely be able to audition as rizzo. and yea he misspoke and used the wrong word for sue’s baby but you can see immediately after he realized and apologizes to her

2021-07-28 14:28:13 +0000 UTCimo the half NY and half high school is the best! bc i couldn't deal with an entire show about Rachel and Kurt or a show about new kids? so this is the best of both worlds for me!!

With musical theater, you typically get 16 or 32 bars of music to sing something, which 9 times out of 10, will be from the musical theater canon, but not from the show. Same actually goes with plays. You are typically asked to bring in a monologue or two that you think would best represent your ability to play that role, but often, it would not be from the script you're auditioning for, unless you are asked to directly to read sides (excerpts of text) from the show. Callbacks are usually the moment where you are asked to either read a scene or monologue from the show/sing a song from the show.

2021-07-28 13:55:51 +0000 UTCexactly! you normally don't do that at all. in fact, you picking the right song to audition with is almost always key.

2021-07-28 12:20:14 +0000 UTCAnyone who is still under contract as a series regular is still listed in the opening credits...whether or not they are actually in the episode--that's why we see Lea and Chris listed even when there aren't any NYC scenes, and why Naya is listed even when she's not in the ep

2021-07-28 09:06:05 +0000 UTCThe writers just didn't want Tina to have screen time let's be honest. Her wanting to audition makes perfect sense.

2021-07-28 04:42:19 +0000 UTCprofessional theater actor here: no you NEVER audition with a song from theshow you are auditioning for unless you are specifically asked. you then get called back and that's where they have you read scenes from the show. but in this case its fun because no one in their right mind would audition for Grease with a Pink song. you still want to sing something along the same vibe.
