As the others said - bowling night did happen, but Joe didn't get kidnapped and the adrenaline and fear of losing both Barry and Joe didn't make her come to the realisation that she is in love with Barry.

2021-07-31 17:46:14 +0000 UTCSo, bowling night did actually happen. In the beginning of 1x15, Barry ran to the morgue after what happened at bowling night and it was then when he saw himself. Therefore, everything that occurred at bowling night still happened in the second timeline. The thing that made Iris not ready or conscious of her deep feelings for Barry, was that her dad's life was in jeopardy. As Harrison said, without this life/death situation of epic tragic proportions, Iris feelings stayed buried deep.
