2021-08-15 16:52:52 +0000 UTCOnly reason klaus never had kids before this is because when his took his werewolf side out of him leaving him as mostly just an original vampire, basically right after the season 2 finale of TVD klaus was now able to have kids with humans or werewolf’s,but as we can see he never did till now accidentally

Now that I've rewatched it a million times I find them super interesting & figured I'd react to it from scratch as you are. So this will be interesting!

2021-08-13 21:57:19 +0000 UTCI think it was a very smart thing to do in the backdoor pilot to follow Klaus and in the actual pilot to follow Elijah. I don't know, I just think it works very well. And everyone kind of talked about the pregnancy stuff, but just to be very clear, vampires can't procreate because they're dead. Hayley mentions this. So, they are unable to grow life inside of them. Werewolves are alive and basically have that human function, so they are able to procreate. The loophole is that Klaus' werewolf side is no longer dormant and the only woman that we have seen him have sex with is Hayley. Because werewolves are able to procreate, that was the loophole. I absolutely love Marcel and honestly, the line that Klaus said to him during the party "pathetic little scrapper still trembling from the whips of the people who held you down" is literally so awful and disgusting to say to him. I almost hated Klaus for it.

He was just an original vampire till that point, since his mum's curse suppressed his wolf side. And since then Hailey is the first warewolf he slept with, and he knocked her up right away.

I freakin hated for an ep or 2 but by the 4th ep was in love the way the character was being written and the execution by the actor. all in all to say being pissed at klaus is absolutely normal at this point

He wards off the concept of love by equating it with weakness because he himself is afraid of the vulnerability that love comes with..... I only think this deep about things when i'm watching The Originals

2021-08-13 09:47:10 +0000 UTCOne premise you have to go off of when watching this show is that Klaus with all his scheming throughout his life has sort of gone mad and with that his paranoia knows no bounds. The man has MAJOR TRUST ISSUES. He truly believes no one has good intentions and everyone does things with ulterior motives. He projects how he operates and does things onto others. I mean FFS he even is doubting the brother who loves him and genuinely wants nothing but good for him and has stuck by him all these years. Remember to keep the fact that this man is basically insane in the back of your mind.

They were having trouble casting Klaus and Paul had met Joesph through a friend and said they weren't even talking about acting, but he could just tell this guy was talented. He told the creator to look at Joesph and they called his agent and he sent in a tape and the rest is history :)

2021-08-13 07:56:08 +0000 UTCThere is a very simple explanation as to why Klaus didn't get someone else pregnant before Hayley: his werewolf side was held dormant before the sacrifice (the one where Jenna died). And he only slept with Hayley afterwards (he was a bit busy with Stefan), so he literally made a baby on the first try. And yes werewolves can only impregnate other werewolves not vampires. Vampires can't procreate.

Lol a lot of people get upset at the Elijah been daggered scene but all I'm saying is this is only the first episode so don't fret. Okay so the reason Klaus hasn't been able to have any kids before is because remember how his werewolf side was suppressed which means he was a vampire before he broke the curse in mystic falls and even if he was still a werewolf and slept with vampires, nothing would happen cause like they said vampires are dead. So it'd have to be werewolf to werewolf. Hope this clears up your question.
