Nick's mom Kelly did leave, she was just taking a different method. It wouldn't do for someone who has been presumed dead for 18 years to pop up security cameras from taking trains or buses.

Also next episode is one of my favorite this season i can't wait next week. Ps: when they talk about the monster they call him "mauvaise dent" french for bad teeth so i could see when your talk about the sabertooth.
