Alicia and Clark had genuine chemistry and it was so refreshing to have someone finally provide Clark with immediate and unconditional acceptance and understanding of his secret. And to have love interest that was so highly intelligent and not passive. You're spot on about the parents being the real villains, by all indications Alicia would have been a good person if she hadn't been abused. I felt sad for both her and Clark at the end.

Even after Lois came into the picture, which is why it surprised me how much I immediately liked Clark and Alicia together. And then I realized it was because I had never seen Clark smile that much in one episode. :) That’s what really gets fans to ship then from the get go. Too bad she went “obsessed” :( coulda been a good relationship

She was also great with Clark (until she went crazy). Yeah, the parents screwed up. I don't think you realised or not but her weakness was Lead, and the way Clark stopped her is with lead paint. I really loved your reaction because most people (some people) get hanged up on the crazy and don't see the parents at fault. I felt bad for her from the get go. Too bad she went crazy. At the time I hoped she would stay longer in the show, kinda like Adam did.

First he finds his son is apparently about to have sex so he’s heated and is in “Strict Father” Mode and then he hears that this random person now knows his secret. Yes with an impending lecture about to ensue Pa Kent aint about to be all understanding and ish lol. He’s about to lay down the law. Us as the viewers obviously will have a calmer, collected perspective on it. Remember Pa kent is always a bit over protective when it comes to clarks powers
