I did really enjoy Rory and Richard’s payback. Logan looked so lost. It was funnier than the prank they pulled in class. I would have been as upset as Rory too. If this was a normal ongoing class like in HS probably not. But it’s just a 6wk course and he did ruin one of those weeks for her. The Rory and Richard prank made me smile, it was Super sweet that they bonded like that

He was apparently very popular and well loved in town but no one remembered it even the year after he died. It kinda makes sense that Paris and Doyle got together. They’re both insanely intense so I Guess it makes sense?? Rory isn’t “mentally dumb”. She’s just not so great at social cues, which is something a lot of people can relate to. Rory didn’t date around and flirt with boys. She had 2 serious boyfriends before this. I never liked Marty cuz he’s playing the hurt party like Rory knew she was stringing him along. For me, too, I would think Logan was bullying me. I don’t interact much with people and I don’t have a great self esteem so I don’t automatically think someone likes me or is flirting with me. If this was Madeline or Louise, they’d get it cuz they’re boy crazy so they learned how to tell these things. Marty didn’t even ONCE tell Rory he liked her romantically. He expects her to just read his mind and ask him about it? It came as a shock to me too that he apparently liked her when I first watched this cuz so far they’ve just been good friends. I was thrilled that Rory had a good guy friend to hang out with. If Marty liked her, he should have told her, not act butt hurt when another guy shows interest and be a jerk to her. As for Luke and Lorelai, you always say that she’s selfish and spoiled and takes advantage of Luke but honestly those 2 know their boundaries. She jokes and “takes advantage” but only in a way he doesn’t truly mind. If he minds, she backs off. He does things for her the way he does things for people he loves, like his sister and Jess, and I think she’s more grateful to him than those 2. Lorelai is a good friend to him too. She’s willing to paint his entire diner with him without even being asked, she stands up for him all the time, she brings laughter into his life. She was even a great shoulder to lean on during his relationship with Rachel. He didn’t give up his dark day because of her. He knew he was wrong to yell at her, I would have done the same thing with the boat. He would have definitely regretted it. It was a sweet gesture. He didn’t feel so balanced so he got upset over everything, including an old lady moving into a nursing home. He did want that boat, judging from him going back to see it after making up with Lorelai. She wasn’t even mad that he was a jerk. She was very understanding and even apologised. I dunno. Lorelai is my fav character so I always feel defensive whenever you call her selfish. Maybe it’s just me. I love her quirks and you know what? So does Luke.

I even find Steven’s stance a little problematic, saying Rory freind-zoned him…Like has some fault or something. They were legit friends. For over a year. If Marty hasn’t plucked up the courage to change that that’s on him and if he wanted something from the start well it just sits even worse for me me and the whole nice guy trope.

The town does know about Lukes father but maybe they don't remember the day that he died. I feel bad for Marty, but he's not telling Rory about his feelings. He even mentioned that she's not good at picking things up so he needs to be clear if he doesn't want to just be friends.

She knew he'd regret it, and she was right. Logan is just awesome! Rory needs a dude like Logan. Marty gets friend-zoned because he's not actually telling her how he feels. If he did she might of given him a chance. I didn't expect Paris and Doyle but I think they are evenly matched. Love Richard getting in on the prank with Rory. That was adorable.

2021-08-24 10:40:09 +0000 UTCLogan is a very privileged person, but he is aware of it and he treats life like an adventure, which I find charming. Rory is sometimes a bit stiff and sheltered and maybe needs a partner that lets her enjoy life a bit more.

2021-08-24 09:45:51 +0000 UTCAs much as logan is an ass sometimes, he is a charming ass so it is hard not to like him during those moments where he adds some fun and levity to Rory, who can be super sheltered and dull sometimes (in my opinion, i am sure others disagree)
