2021-08-25 23:06:04 +0000 UTCOf course I can speak only for myself, but I would never object if you laugh at any of the shocking things people (especially Pierce) sometimes say on the show. The humor is precisely in how preposterous and out-of-touch people can sometimes be, and fans of the show know and enjoy that, without actually endorsing bigotry or whatever. I'm one of those who thinks the show was good right from the start, despite morphing into something else (even better) later in season 1. Just feel free to enjoy it as it comes.

2021-08-25 15:34:37 +0000 UTCI do have to say that this show reflects life at a COMMUNITY college and not all colleges. That is why I love it so much because it is SO accurate (at least to my experience in community college).

2021-08-25 10:44:18 +0000 UTCI think the word you were looking for regarding Jeff is douchey. Pierce is supposed to be funny because he is out of date and offensive in his views. The same with Chang, the humor comes from how inappropriate he can be when he's complaining about stereotypes. A lot of the jokes showcase the hypocrisy or ignorance of the characters, whether it's Britta being on her high horse but not actually acting on her principles in many ways, or in Shirley and Annie trying to honor the journalist who was beaten to death with a piñata in his image. Which still makes me laugh every time.

2021-08-25 05:07:37 +0000 UTCI know it’s not for a while, but are you planning on watching season 2 episode 14, the one that was taken off of Netflix and Hulu? I get if it’s too difficult to find a way to watch, but a lot of fans do consider it a very important episode
