“I wanted one more ‘boy-o’”. Didn’t we all...lol. This is easily TOP 5. The Blue Butterfly blew my mind when it first came out. Still impressed me today. I’m Glad you loved it. I would watch the heck out of a Castle noir remake with the OG cast.

I never thought about Joe and Vera making their lives in the same town until you mentioned it. But they did say Demsey died a few months after Joe and Vera "died" and he was the only one who was a threat to them. Maybe they only came back after his death.
