I always saw Harvey's choice not to tell Scottie as him choosing Mike over her. Which is fair, but I also understand Scottie and why that bothers her. As for Louis: if Scottie beats him he ofc would still be a good and respected lawyer, but his chances of becoming one of "the big guys" aka named partner are very slim and we know Louis wants that. Plus, Louis just has the firm, nothing else. He lives for his job. But Harvey is right too, he can't have both - Harvey's friendship and asking him for big-ass favors.
