2021-09-18 23:06:53 +0000 UTCThe case this episode was kind of perfect. It really shows how evil the American legal system is and how easy it is for abuse to get thrown out of a legal case. Like, this whole evidence thing is frustrating because most abuse is private and not witnessed by anyone else, and not reported because her husband is literally a cop. I couldn't find a statistic or source, but am happy to spend more time looking for it, but I am pretty sure "police families" are more likely to experience abuse than non-police families. Like, it's a serious problem. I know it ended up happily, technically, but yeah... it pissed me off too.
