Jafar feels like the perfect half season arc and villain that they did with Pan, Zelena, and Hades. What a missed opportunity.

I personally think they shouldn't have used him in Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, and instead adapted his backstory there to this season's story of Jafar to make it more complete. I honestly think the story of the Genie and Jafar in that show would have worked here, as well as Jafar's backstory, and really made that the main focus of the season, with Gideon being the minor villain. Instead, it feels like they took the Aladdin/Jafar/Jasmine story and broke it up into two shows and it just didn't work.
