2021-09-25 22:34:50 +0000 UTCi really love asher's character in this series and it's so enjoyable to watch back. the way he can be such a goofball and can kind of be written off, but then portrays such raw and real emotions, i just really enjoy that. i also love the eternal conflict of him realizing his father isn't the good man he has spent his whole life thinking he is. i mean, it's probably a case of asher idolizing this man, going to law school to follow in his footsteps and a constant battle for his approval, and then to find that the person you've looked up to and wanted to be all these years is the total opposite of the man you actually do want to be....i can't even imagine. and as previously stated, annalise blew it out of the park this episode, she always does but my goodness!!! i get goosebumps!

Even when we find out who killed Sam the twists get even bigger. Bonnie is such a unique character. Her relationship with Annalise will be such a rollercoaster throughout the series. The first season of this show is just perfection to me.

2021-09-25 18:51:56 +0000 UTCThat scene with Annalise in court questioning Senator Trucco is one of my all-time favorite scenes from the show. Despite her not "conducting" herself as she should in court, she was willing to let all that go to go to bat for David Allen and peel back the ugliness and corruption of politics and the justice system in this country. It shows that even with her hard exterior and cold demeanor, even with her own questionable personal morals, the reason she became a defense lawyer in the first place is to fight injustice within the system. She cares. And that's an important thing for he audience to know at this point.\
