I find it interesting how hard you were on Chloe for one episode, but I mean, Clark is more consistently annoying in his belief that no one has a right to know his secrets or even try to look into his background, while at the same time he acts so entitled to every bit of knowledge or secret that anyone else has.

2021-11-22 01:56:22 +0000 UTCyah but Lex's mom went insane and plus from her "insane" POV she was doing the killing out of love.

2021-10-06 15:05:37 +0000 UTCAlways thought Martha's line about a "Mother's love never dying" was a bit weird considering we learned Lex's mom killed Julian. I get the context of that particular conversation but still lol

2021-09-29 09:11:29 +0000 UTCThis is hand down one of the top ten episodes of the entire show. Everyone's acting, especially Rosenbaum and Glover in their final scene together was amazing. It's just so rich and layered and tells such a great story. Between Lex remembering what really happened to Julian, to the friendship between Lex and Clark being strained because Clark is just doing this so Lex doesn't learn the truth about him again. Perfection.

2021-09-29 05:30:38 +0000 UTCOh don't worry, the best part of this show is how ''not comic book like'' it feels. Best way I can describe it. You are probably thinking that Lex will become a cartoonish comic book villain. Not happening. Lex will remain a complicated character. It's not a spoiler because everyone knows this. Lex will become bad little by little due to many little reasons and a couple of big ones. None of the big ones happened yet but you can see little hints about where obsession takes a man. Look at Lionel, obsessed with power and knowledge that no one stands in his way. By the way Lionel is MVP for me this episode. Lex was amazing but Lionel's acting is on another level all together. Those oh's when he realised what Lex is telling was true will forever give me chills. Probably top 2 episodes of season 3, at least for me.

2021-09-29 02:10:32 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite scene of the entire show that last scene with Evenences My Imortal. Going to put my 2 cents on Chloe. She just makes bad choices and gets jealous easily.

2021-09-29 02:05:39 +0000 UTCThat scene at the end with Lex and Lionel is fantastic. Lionel has so much regret on his face. "This show is about friendship". Yes! I think that is why Smallville works, it's about relationships not just being a hero. You can already see some strain in this episode between Clark and Lex, where Clark agrees with Lex's goals but not his methods, but they still care about each other. Michael Rosenbaum, the actor who plays Lex does a great job. Btw, fun fact he also is the voice actor for the Flash in the animated Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows! You should check them out, they are excellent

2021-09-29 00:29:47 +0000 UTCInteresting how the memory of the real Jor-El and Lara is a lot different and more like the classic stuff from the comics, films etc than the domineering and rule the world impression of Jor-El that we have seen from the AI in the ship.

2021-09-28 22:44:27 +0000 UTCAbout Lex's turn to Evil, I think you should keep this in mind from back when Lex and Ryan talked..... Ryan: "Why do you think Devilicus went bad?" Lex: "I'm not sure. Probably wasn't aware of it. You see, Ryan, in life, the road to darkness is a journey, not a light switch." Ryan: "You should remember that, Lex."

2021-09-28 22:37:13 +0000 UTCYeah, the Lex character is so amazing in this story that every iteration of Lex I have seen thereafter has fallen incredibly flat. This will always be my lex luthor, and frankly even though he's not at Michael' level (Lex's actor), this Clark will always be my Superman too. Lionel and Lex killed it. And the end of this season is when I as a 10 year old realized I loved tv lol.

2021-09-28 21:55:05 +0000 UTCI'm writing this at the start of the episode so may be addressed later but Chloe had mentioned to Clark during the episode earlier in the season when Lex was acting crazy that he had an incident at school where he was found yelling about his dead brother Julian. Which is one of the reasons that people were thinking that it was possible that he was crazy now too instead of being drugged by Lionel. So now we are just seeing what Chloe said play out because of flashes from the treatment.

2021-09-28 21:04:48 +0000 UTCSteven, I gave you a heads up before but I'll give it again before I watch this great episode. Please skip the opening credits (theme song intro) for episodes 4x01 & 4x02. Don't look at the screen during it, that's the perfect time to be looking at your phone. lol
