It's the same issue as Mike/Rachel. How can you love the other person but keep such a big topic/issue in your life from him? Clearly its effecting him which in turns effects their relationship so it won't ever work until that is resolved. Problem is Scottie is more willing to play dirty so if she is let in and it goes south maybe she uses it.

That is the problem with what Mike and Harvey are doing - the chance of them getting caught hangs over their heads all the time and it drives them to do stuff that is ethically wrong. This was also a big episode for Harvey and his development. You could see that Season 1-Harvey wouldn't have had a problem with keeping this from Scottie, but now he does bc he opens up more. Mike is essentially family to him at this point and the thought of him leaving or worse being in jeopardy make him sad. But Donna was right too: what if he tells her and puts them all at risk because of it. It's the same concern they had when Mike wanted to tell Rachel. And seeing as Harvey has mega trust issues, there is always the possibility of a scorned Scottie using this info against them. Unlike Rachel, who considers this firm her family and wouldn't want to throw them under the bus, Scottie doesn't have that same loyalty conflict.
