I personally never watched Supergirl, but if you watch this, I would watch along with you, like I did for Glee. If it still interest you. I however do not understand what you mean by you would have to watch 17-18 episodes before you watch Arrow and The Flash because you started this around the time you started season 4 of Arrow and season 2 of the Flash. And they go hand in hand just like the other two do. So you would watch an episode of each a week. Of course now if you wish to continue you have to catch up. Also I know some people don’t realize that James knew all along but it was hinted at when he told her she look like Clark a little in the nose area. 😂😂 that’s why I didn’t think it was weird for him to say that. I just figured he knew.

2022-01-05 08:21:58 +0000 UTCI know it has been a couple months, but please add this show. I know there are a lot of shows on your plate, but it will be really difficult to fully enjoy the Arrowverse if you do not react to all the Arrowverse shows, especially since they do a large crossover event once a year. Plus, the show is good, and later seasons get better.

2021-11-29 18:32:33 +0000 UTCSupergirl sometimes comes across a bit heavy-handed with its message ("finally a female superhero my daughter can look up to") even when it doesn't make sense: "She can't handle him." - "Why? because she's a girl?" No, because the same guy kicked her butt ten episode-minutes ago and it doesn't look any better now! So that can become a bit grating, but overall it gets better.

2021-10-03 16:31:42 +0000 UTCSo...I would love to see you react to seasons 1-3. However, I'll probably stop watching after that because the series takes a serious nosedive. Seasons 1-3 are good though and I've love to watch them again along with you. I think you should at least watch in your own time if not for reactions just because you'll be lose during crossover events if you don't. I assume you know about the crossover events right? They usually have one every year after all four shows get started (Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends). They have a four episode event where each show has a piece of the plot. So to really understand them you need to have seen all four shows. If I were you...I'd at least watch and react to seasons 1-3. After that...dealers choice!
Terri
2021-10-03 09:46:51 +0000 UTCYou all better keep this energy, if he continues to react to every season. Lol. Dont wish for the reactions now and then stop watching them by season 4 and up; because thats when you believe the show “fell off” or whatever.

2021-09-30 20:25:32 +0000 UTCIm sure someone else already mentioned it.. but this wasnt a CW show it was CBS and im guessing it was going to get canceled before the CW decided to acquire the show.

2021-09-30 18:14:56 +0000 UTCPlease keep reacting to this! I didn’t enjoy the last seasons as much but the first few seasons are really good in my opinion.

2021-09-30 18:14:49 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say the writing got terrible, it has always been mediocre to poor

2021-09-30 17:30:18 +0000 UTCCan you find the watch order for me when you get a chance? The one I followed on a certain website says I have to watch 17 episodes of supergirl before watching anymore Flash/Arrow.
Steven Merced
2021-09-30 14:50:05 +0000 UTCI haven’t watched this yet so I don’t know if you mentioned it but will you be continuing with other Arrowverse shows? Cuz it would be EVERYTHING if you start to react to Legends of Tomorrow when it’s time...

2021-09-30 11:47:27 +0000 UTCI am mixed about Supergirl (mostly bc the writing got so incredibly terrible over time), but watching this pilot with you made me remember why I used to love it. Kara is just such a loveable hero and the sisterhood with Alex is the heart of the show. If you want to watch it and enjoy it, then watch it. I think I will enjoy your reactions to it :)

2021-09-30 07:32:03 +0000 UTCI hope you continue watching this the way you watch Arrow and Flash. Crossovers happen a lot with all of the shows and you just won't know what's going on during crossovers if you don't. Even when they don't crossover, Barry and Oliver mention things. Not watching the whole thing is like skipping paragraphs and later on, whole chapters of a book.

2021-09-30 06:31:11 +0000 UTCI do hope you react to Supergirl. I really enjoy the cast of this show, I thought they made great casting choices and Melissa Benoist was a great choice for Supergirl. I would recommend that you react to all of the Arrowverse but if you don't have the time are interest for everything, I would definitely at least recommend reacting to what you already react to Arrow, Flash and also Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow as they have the most connections with each other and the crossovers.

2021-09-30 06:07:37 +0000 UTCI don't know...I consider season 2 and 3 to be the best. I've stopped watching it more recently. I would go into why, but it would all be spoilers.

2021-09-30 05:37:31 +0000 UTCOn a side note, Superman & Lois just had arguably THE best first season of an Arrowverse show to date - I would consider it an absolute must-watch for any Arrowverse fan - and that's technically a spin-off of this one (though they kept the first season mostly self-contained), since that Superman comes from this show, so that's another reason to keep up with this one, imo.
Andrea
2021-09-30 05:21:09 +0000 UTCTo me the Arrowverse shows tend to have a nasty habit of peaking in their 1st or 2nd seasons, but Supergirl is an exception, imo. I've always felt like S1 was actually its worst, or at least towards the bottom of the barrel. I found the next few seasons quite enjoyable, though (S4 was actually my favorite season of any Arrowverse show that year), and she and her world do become a pretty major part of the Arrowverse in terms of crossovers in the future, so I would definitely say it's worth continuing. Plus, I personally think Melissa is probably the strongest of the Arrowverse leads in terms of the range of her performance (well, save for one who I won't mention since you haven't met them yet). So if you do keep reacting, I'll keep watching! Putting on my Superman fangirl hat for a minute, just to clarify - there's another DC hero named Superwoman (it's a mantle that's been carried by a several different characters in the comics), and Kara is usually SuperGIRL because she's typically portrayed as a teenage girl (16-17-ish) in the comics. They aged the character up for this show, because from what I've heard, when CBS showed interest, they didn't want a teen-centric show at the time.

2021-09-30 04:57:36 +0000 UTCI think overall you should react to it even though the show has it ups and downs overall it is enjoyable and more importantly its YOUR reaction and i think you should have an opinion based off what you see vs what is said so im in favor for you to continue to react!!!

2021-09-30 04:46:18 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed the first couple of seasons of this show, its a little cheesy but has some awsome character moments. Personally I would love to see more.

2021-09-30 03:29:13 +0000 UTCI had a long comment in here earlier and it seems to have disappeared. Others have said some of the things I did though. Anyway I would vote for you reacting to the whole series. All the shows have their ups and down but I still like them all.

2021-09-30 03:06:50 +0000 UTCSupergirl gets a bad rap, but I found it really enjoyable. Did it drop off later, yes, but that's with most Arrowverse shows. It really picks up around the 5th episode and by the 6th episode I was in for the season. To me, it has one of the best Arrowverse casts (Melissa has been an excellent Supergirl). Please consider adding this show to the schedule. Not many react to it. Thanks for reacting to the Pilot. :)

2021-09-30 03:05:09 +0000 UTCI hope this is one you'll end up picking up at some point either on here or offline. I'd watch this on here. It's such an enjoyable show and I feel like this is so different from the others. I need to catch up on it and this would be a great way to do it :)

2021-09-30 02:52:12 +0000 UTCYou should definitely add it and continue to go in the correct order. It makes for the best viewing experience.

2021-09-30 02:01:03 +0000 UTCfist season is its best then it does a nose dive in quality

2021-09-30 01:51:44 +0000 UTCSupergirl starts rather softly, quality wise, but it does pick up and season 2 and 3 are very strong. But when it does go off the rails it really goes off the rails. But so far this seems to apply to most of the Arrowverse shows. Really the only difference is how fast it happens for some shows, and if a show can recover from it. THE CW shows are very low budget, compared to regular networks and premium cable and streaming productions can have up to 10 times the budget. Producers have learned that doing a network Superhero show is difficult (especially when these started) as the idea is you need 22 to 24 episodes a year. That means your producing a lot of filler episodes. And after a coupe or a few years those filler shows really, really drag down a show. And with such a limited budget it really restricts any larger story ideas. And since these shows are all produced by one group, the more shows done the less the group can focus on any one series. You bring in new writers and new producers, ect but its very difficult to maintain quality when expanding your product line as much as they did.

2021-09-30 01:03:27 +0000 UTCI hope you keep reacting to this. I'll admit when it was on, I didn't watch much more than the pilot (just had a very full schedule at the time), but I thought the pilot was REALLY good: set things up well, was full of engaging characters, and was refreshing in my experience for how she really loved her powers. The name "Supergirl" is a legacy from the old comic books when the character was created in the 1950s, and it's too late to change it now; but they at least made a gesture at the issue by having Kara complain that it should really be Superwoman. If you don't know much about the Superman saga, you may not be aware that Jimmy Olsen was the kid reporter who was sort of Superman's (and Clark Kent's) comedy sidekick. For this series, the concept was to move him from Metropolis, with a change of age and ethnicity, and preferring to be called James. The actress who plays Kara's mother (and aunt), by the way, is Laura Benanti, one of the great musical-theater singers and actresses of our time. I'm always happy to see her.

2021-09-30 00:56:00 +0000 UTCplease react to the show.

2021-09-29 23:45:57 +0000 UTCI think you should react to this show. Not just because it's a part of the Arrowverse, but it's not nearly as bad as people say. While it's not my favorite show in the franchise, it's enjoyable and I would like to see your take on the show.
Clay W
2021-09-29 23:36:31 +0000 UTCI’d say continue the reactions. It’s an ok show for the most part, there’s several things I dislike about it but I won’t get into that. Plus, you’ll know the vibes of these characters for when they crossover so I think it would be more enjoyable to watch those crossovers, knowing everyone.
Parker
2021-09-29 23:28:52 +0000 UTCI would be interested if you continued reactions to Supergirl. I think all Arrowverse shows go through ups and downs or a drop in quality. At some point there might be a season you might like that others may hate. For example in my opinion there is a specific season of The Flash I don't care for that much but others may love it. You may enjoy Supergirl throughout the entire series. I personally like the Superman universe so overall I like this show (Smallville though in my opinion is the best show that is Superman universe related show).
Morgan
2021-09-29 23:22:24 +0000 UTCI'm for continuing to react to this.
Johnathan Guiza
2021-09-29 23:17:54 +0000 UTCI only watched up to season 4, just stopped because I got back into walking dead lol BUT PLEASE keep reacting. I love that its on the warm hearted side of CW
Sammy Boy
2021-09-29 22:59:47 +0000 UTCThe actor playing her adoptive Dad was Clark(Superman) on Lois and Clark in the 90s, and the actress playing her adoptive mom played Kara in the old Supergirl film from the 80s and Lara Clark's Kryptonian mother on Smallville.
TheMew
2021-09-29 22:52:14 +0000 UTCI would be in the camp of watching it. There are ups and downs and some things I don't care for but I still have enjoyed it overall. Sometimes more sometimes less than the other shows going on at the same time. I love the Arrowverse in general but none hold a candle to Smallville to me. At least in some ways. There are things that are in general better with the Arrowverse and with Supergirl just in context of them in the middle of Superhero careers instead of being before hand and what the scope of bringing things from the comics. One thing that I do like in Supergirl that we unfortunately never really got much of in Smallville is flying and really actual fist fighting instead of pushing and just using powers. Storyline wise even though some things I don't like with Supergirl at least later on. Usually the rest of the stuff in the episodes can be good the action and characters just like the other shows have their ups and downs. But I've always enjoyed the Superman related mythos(He is my fav character) so it's good to see all that stuff and if you are watching the other shows there are times when stuff crosses over so it just good to watch all the shows.
TheMew
2021-09-29 22:46:31 +0000 UTCYou should follow the episode order that someone already linked here in the comments. And if you aren’t planning to already you should react to legends of tomorrow once it comes around in the arrow verse order. It has many familiar faces in it which on its own makes it a fun show. Season 1 of LOT starts around S4 episode 10 of arrow I think. Legends of tomorrow and supergirl I feel are less strict when it comes to episode order compared to arrow and flash.
Quinn Sliter
2021-09-29 22:46:16 +0000 UTCI would definitely be interested if you continued supergirl! there is a drop in quality in later seasons but that could be said for every arrowverse show, I do think the crossovers are more enjoyable if you know the other characters in the universe. Also you wouldn’t have to watch 17 eps before flash or arrow this site has the viewing order of the arroverse shows that you can follow I suggest using it! https://mythbank.com/the-arrowverse-episode-viewing-order/
Alivia Ballard
2021-09-29 22:37:27 +0000 UTCWrong.. this show only gets better. I would love to see you continue to react to this show. There is also a flash crossover near the end of season one so i would at least like you to finish the season.
2021-09-29 22:36:38 +0000 UTCTried to watch this show a while back, I think I watched season 1 and season 2 and man this show goes downhill fast. I stopped watching through season 3 and if what I heard is correct it keeps getting worse and worse. Anyway even at its best it doesn't hold a candle to Smallville, I would love if David would watch it as well.
Primus
2021-09-29 22:08:27 +0000 UTCseason 1 was a cbs show. the tonal shift (& budget cuts) after the move to cw is pretty noticeable, especially in the later seasons
