I always find other people's pov fascinating because of how differently we can see things. Like, for me the Silas and Amara arc was the high point of the season and I'm not as interested in what's coming next. So I look forward to seeing if you like the second act of season 5 any better. I hope you do!

Didn't get why her neck couldn't have been snapped, but Stefan sees Elena in trouble and just goes right for the stake. So yeah, it's way hypocritical to then judge Elena for doing the same for Damon when Care wouldn't and hasn't judged Stefan.

2021-10-08 23:32:59 +0000 UTCThe line "What dorm has a fireplace" is so funny because I am pretty sure 3/4 of the dorms I stayed in in college all had fireplaces. And I don't exactly remember the scenes themselves, but Caroline fed Jesse her blood and since he became a vampire, that compulsion that she did on him wore off. Combined with the stuff that Wes told him about vampirism, it makes sense that he knows Caroline is a vampire. Jesse's death was a bit irritating and it really is a writing problem, although they turned it into an Elena character problem. Character-wise, Elena saw that her boyfriend was about to die, panicked, and stuck a stake in him, that happened to be right in his heart. If we compare it to Vicki's death in Season One, it was kind of reminiscent of that to me. Jesse could have easily been kept alive, but now they want to make it about how Damon has changed Elena, like we didn't watch Caroline kill 12 witches just last season to save Bonnie. The hypocrisy is hilarious.
