What I also appreciate is that Simone was completely honest with both Peter and Isaac about her feelings. She didn't lie or play as if nothing had happened. She told Peter she wasn't ready to commit to anything yet and told Isaac she doesn't know how she feels about either of them.

2021-10-14 08:16:17 +0000 UTCThe Simone and Isaac thing never bothered me really. You can tell how emotionally invested she was in Isaac in the first three episodes but he is an addict. He's probably overdosed several times and he's kind of unrepentant about it. Unfortunately I think that by the time Isaac started talking about painting the future Simone had had enough. They broke up. She didn't cheat. I think she just had a rebound situation with Peter that night. Sometimes after a bad breakup, You go for whoever is present and interested and Peter was a safe choice. Isaac is probably one of my favorites but he is a very frustrating character. He's always so quick to take the easy way out. Claire probably has the best storyline in the first season. Nicki is probably my least favorite, she's always at the mercy of someone or some thing. It gets very irritating very quickly.

But I think it's clear this is far from being the first time and that's why it's not like "she decided to just leave it". You also said she cheated. That's not true. Maybe you forgot but they broke up.

2021-10-13 22:27:03 +0000 UTCIt's awful really, Brody tried to rape Claire and killed her. The coroner said she was found naked washed up on a river bank, so he'd even tried to get rid of the body. We find out he's assaulted and raped others before Claire. Imagine how she must be feeling. She was dead for hours. But you don't really even have time to stop and think about it with so many characters in the show.

2021-10-13 21:39:52 +0000 UTCI can't blame Simone for not believing Isaac. If somebody told you they could paint the future, you'd probably think they were trying to prank you. And Isaac has a severe drug problem. He has OD'd. She's tried to help him quit many times and go to rehab, but he's still using (I'm not blaming him). Simone cares about him but I totally understand her drawing the line. He's not good for her and I'm sure they've had a rocky relationship because of his addiction, so she broke up with him. She has a genuine connection with Peter and probably doesn't mind the distraction from her problems either. Don't get me wrong, I feel really bad for Isaac and love his character. But Simone didn't do anything wrong. Life's complicated 🤷🏼♀️
