i know a lot of people don't like slow burns, but i absolutely do! i'd rather shows take things slow and build up to it and give us something to look forward to than just have the couple just automatically get together. slow burn (along with enemies to lovers) is one of my absolute favorite tropes and i think b99 does it so well!

i love this episode! i think it was really funny and i love how amy and jake are not a couple after season 1! if they get together i much rather it be slow and not everything thrown in your face at once

I loved that too! I hate this "I didn't mean this romantic thing I said to you"-shit and I'm glad Jake was upfront about it and now at least Amy knows what's up and can decide herself what she does with that information.

A high-quality episode, it suffers only in comparison to the perfection of the previous one. When I first saw it, I groaned at Jake telling Amy he didn't mean what he said about having feelings for her -- because it's such a hack sitcom route to go, prolonging tension by people lying about their feelings, etc. But then when he went back and confirmed that no, he meant what he said the first time, I cheered. And I knew that this wasn't going to be a dumb typical sitcom will-they-won't-they relationship: at least they'll both have all the information.
