Absolutely! You can’t tease us with a story line THAT great without fitting in a throw back scene somehow.

2021-10-27 14:06:19 +0000 UTCAm I the only one who really wants to see Emily having Lorelei’s car towed for wearing a rhinestone penis shirt to dinner?!? I’m thinking that would be one of the best Friday night dinners of all time 😂

2021-10-27 10:49:53 +0000 UTCWhat stood out to me was at dinner when they were leaving and Logan said "Josh isn't marrying into the family, you are". Not "could be", "potentially could"...etc. I feel thats why he takes the boyfriend/girlfriend labeling so seriously and has never done it before. I tried to casually dated a guy like that. He said being labeled meant you were headed on a path with marriage being the goal so he wouldn't get into relationships. I eventually said I couldn't do it anymore and that was that. Though a couple years later he did come back to say he changed his mind, but by that point it was too late.

2021-10-27 10:48:08 +0000 UTCI absolutely agree. To see that Logan is actually the most normal non-arrogant person in this family is interesting. I love this story for Rory bc she was always so protected from the world by Lorelai and also Emily and Richard. They always shielded her from making her own bad decisions and choices, but this time Lorelai lets her fly the coop so to speak and she has to figure it out for herself that she is going into things way too naively sometimes.

2021-10-27 09:45:03 +0000 UTCOh, here we go on a great story line with the Huntzbergers! The thing about Rory is she is very naive with love. She throws herself into a relationship with no thought whatsoever. If she wants it to work, that's all that matters as long as he wants it too. And he is saying he wants that, so why question what she wanted to hear all along. I truly don't think she expected him to say he'd give up the other girls, but when he did, this little girl mentality has to have started doing cartwheels in her head. Yippee, he loves me too!! As for the family... No. These aren't the Gilmore's! These are far snootier, noses up their own butts, rich. (though that could be used for Richard and Emily too...) Yes, Rory is going to work, and not be a trophy wife, which has to not be a good look for them, but also, lets say that there is Gilmore rich, and then there is Huntzberger rich. You get that just from the house. Look at Rory's reaction. She was in awe. Which in itself, while us normal people would completely understand, they probably found to be extremely tacky. I bet in their mind, the only one fit for Logan is someone who comes from a family with just as much wealth as them. I always loved the similarities shown here between Shira and Gran from last season when she suddenly passed. Shira asking "whatever happened to that Fallon girl? I loved her!", and Gran writing the letter the day before Richards wedding saying that Pennilyn Lott made a much better fit for him and the family. They almost used the same wording, if I remember right. She wasn't raised like that, she wasn't bred for it... Like a thoroughbred horse almost. So gross. All of that said, I always loved Mitchum's sales pitch to Rory on the internship. If she wants in journalism, people would die for the opportunity he is offering. While I understand her turning it down, I love that he did a sales pitch to her. "Why the hell not?!" You get his character down right in that scene. Great reaction!!! Thanks!!!

2021-10-27 07:12:51 +0000 UTCAm I the only one who didn't really like this episode? The Rory-Logan parts were interesting, but I didn't care for the side plots (Paris & Doyle; Sookie & Jackson) at all. And I'm getting kind of tired how horribly everyone in Lorelai's life treats Luke. He is always trying to help someone and yet he ends up being the bad guy.
