Not that I don't like it after that, but for me, that is where it kind of jumped the shark, and people stopped caring as much... when the seniors left the show. Still love the show. Still have seen all the episode. Totally not knocking it. Except season 6. Won't give anything away, but certain aspects, I will not acknowledge as Glee canon. We will see more when we get there though! There are a handful of episodes in 4, 5 and 6 that I remember well, and this was one of them. The scene that will always haunt me in this episode though, and it doesn't have as much effect anymore, because for whatever reason, the sound has never been as good as the first time I heard it. The scene where they have Britney standing on the toilet, the only noise you could hear in the scene were her teardrops hitting the water in the toilet. I don't know why it just doesn't show up (or maybe I'm getting old and my hearing is going), but it always started the sobbing for me. I love the emotional episodes. As for the Ryder/Katie relationship... I never liked the story line, but don't be so sure that it can only be Marley or Jake... It seems like it has to be someone in Glee, because of the phone ringing, but couldn't that have been a coincidence? Maybe Kitty has herself a crush, and doesn't know how to say it. Maybe Sam and Britney are playing some kind of weird joke that no one but them can understand. Or maybe it is no one in Glee, and Ryder is just completely off track because of a complete coincidental phone ringing. I will say answers are given. I don't think Glee has ever given a story line that they don't give an explanation to, unless I am forgetting something. Great reaction.

School shooting episodes have become an unfortunate part of many teen shows, and dramas in general, and they have always been difficult to watch. I don't think this was handled very well... I hate that the person who brought a gun to school was treated as a "reveal" and I dislike that it was Becky, especially after the Newtown shooting. It just felt off to me, idk...

I think it is best that yes they only showed what the students felt. Also, the school being somewhat empty but not closed completelly it is actually preaty accurate, we have to put ourselves in a teenager mentallyty. At this age we really are reckless and preaty much feel invinsible, also life moves much faster, and what seems important one minute it is not the next, so i do get that those teenagers would have small problem un going back to their regular lifes especially if no one got hurt, some teenagers could Even argue it was no Big deal, si yeah even then i think glee did portray the teenagers right.

2021-10-28 04:42:36 +0000 UTCevery time i watch this episode i get nerves. went through this situation many times at my high school especially after the parkland shooting. itβs so sad that this is a reality in our world. glee faced a lot of backlash for this episode because it aired after a school shooting but glee faces important topics of america and this is very much one.
