We are seeing how Olivia is slowly losing it. It's really heartbreaking. It's really more disturbing than seeing demons in the house 😂

2021-10-29 07:41:25 +0000 UTCI think the highlights of this episode for me was Mr. Dudley's monologue. Ugh it's just so well acted and directed, the way the camera zooms in slowly to his face. Heartwrenching. And Luke's eulogy for Nell breaks my heart everytime.

2021-10-29 06:34:38 +0000 UTCI love hearing your theories about everything - especially because it's a lot to keep track of, and you are recalling so many important motifs and moments! I will say that I liked the mom reveal because of what it reveals about Hugh's relationship with her. We still don't know what happened that night and what happened to her, but we know that Hugh holds her close with him, daily, despite the tragedy of everything. And we see Hugh not follow through with some of the things that the mother suggests, but he does pick up on the smaller things like what tie he should wear, which I personally think is interesting. It also brings in a better picture of the mother, who was otherwise a demented ghost, as a normal, loving, helpful mother. It shows the best parts of the mother, the person who Hugh would like to remember. And I agree - Steven and Shirley are very selfish, and while I have more sympathy for Shirley, both of their behavior irritated me.
