"She did it in a fit of rage - just because Joe might have planned his murders and clean-up meticulously doesn't make him less crazy. It just makes him a different kind of monster." That is the best way to describe their dynamics and relationship in general. I find it kinda funny that people really love to put so much blame on Love but the real reason everything happened in the first place was because of Joe. And even Brian said it, Joe would have eventually killed Natalie someway somehow.

But I actually think he may be worse because he often plans ahead. That gives him time to change his mind and he usually doesn't. She's more impulsive and can't control it. Either way I'd want to live far away from them lol.

And clearly they are going to have a hard time believing each other. Here are my thoughts as I was re-watching this episode: Both Joe and Love have such a deep victim complex... I don't think we're meant to think that either of them are worse than the other. I think we're really just supposed to believe that they have found their "match". They are equals. And that terrifies both of them. Of course, they are different. Love is more impulsive and emotional. Joe is more intense, pathological, and preemptive. How they come across to an audience is actually very gendered and it is interesting to see the mental gymnastics people go through to defend Joe and condemn Love. I do admit I am slightly more frustrated with Joe. For some people, his narration makes them sympathetic to his plight. For me, it makes me realize how delusional he is and also what a huge hypocrite he is. One, yes Love is an axe murderer. Joe, you are ALSO a murderer. Just because she has murdered most recently doesn't make Joe any better than her. He wasn't about to cheat... he DID cheat. He just didn't have sex with her. But he flirted with her, talked about his marriage with her, and then kissed her. He also kept a box of mementos of her and literally held her undies in his hand, while he was having sex with Love. That is definitely cheating lol. He's just scared that Love knows him so well and sees right through his BS. Love killed Natalie because she saw Joe's budding obsession with her, something that kept him from being a devoted husband and father. She did it in a fit of rage - just because Joe might have planned his murders and clean-up meticulously doesn't make him less crazy. It just makes him a different kind of monster.
