I'm someone who, like you, gets annoyed with the JD and Elliot thing. That being said, this stretch of episodes you're getting into is one that I wanted to tune in for the reactions to. The Heather Graham character definitely gives things a nice energy boost and the overall relationships are clicking along well at this point. Let's face it, this show is about bromance since JD is more obsessed with his male relationships (Turk, Doctor Cox) than any of his romantic ones. I get what you're saying about JD and Turk being a non-negotiable package, but I think an awkward situation for Elliot is really exacerbated by the fact that JD actually lives with Turk and Carla. That makes things harder to navigate.
