You're right this season is really good. People hated having Mike and Harvey constantly fight against each other, but I think it's an important lesson for both of them to learn that if you're always out to win no matter the cost, then it will cost you a lot of other stuff. As for Louis: I don't think Harvey is cold or doesn't care, he just reigns his emotions in way more than Louis does. Which comes with its own set of problems bc Harvey has so many issues in comitting to and trusting people. Louis on the other hand has as Donna said a blindspot for people he cares about, but he can also fight back hard if those blindspots are used against him. He got Mike good and I bet Mike would've found other funding even without Louis's comments.
