Steven is in more danger because he doesn’t know what is real and what is a ghost. He saw someone who everyone agrees looks out of place but he didn’t realize it was a ghost. He’s in danger because the house can mess with him and he wouldn’t know it wasn’t real.

If Steve could have seen a ghost like that, it's not too far off base that the others could have seen shit as well. It may have seemed more harmless and less eerie, but idk, it's kind of creepy that a man who you always assume to be there, a real person, maybe slightly weird, but not horrific and off-putting, really isn't. My guess to why Steven is in more danger than the rest of them is that he wrote an entire book about people who saw ghosts, but he never even saw anything. He is not prepared for the most horrific of ghosts, while everyone has been dealing with their ghosts for years.

Steve's still being self righteous here. I hope he sees 1000 ghosts when they get to the house just to humble him a little. Theo's breakdown after Nell scared the living crap out of them jn the car never fails to make me cry. Cried again here. Ngl, I had my eyes solely fixed on you guys to see your reaction to that jump scare. They do horror well here. The treehouse was a great plot twist. I can't wait to see the next 2 episodes!!!

2021-11-06 06:09:26 +0000 UTCYESSSSS THE BLACK MOLD!!!!! I've always wondered about that, if the black mold hadn't just driven everyone slowly insane. It's dark but this episode on you can kind of see the mold clearer on the walls and stuff. What if it had always been there and the house or the ghosts in it just made the Craine family not see the mold so that it would slowly poison them all? But I can't discount all their encounters as mold related. Nell continued to have visions of her death after they were out of the house. They've all seen Nell's ghost. Some of them have seen Mom. They've all had supernatural encounters in adulthood. Maybe the house just utilised the mold??
