Who here watching in real-time had this finale "spoiled" for them by way of TVLINE's blind item? When the blind item came out I was certain it was Castle as were many of the commentators on the site and it just made me even more giddy with anticipation. lol

You were right in your estimate, this episode is actually the 81st of the show so it was a looong time coming. It is a culmination of everything that happened in the first 4 seasons, especially in the last stretch of episodes. It is so rewarding but it also keeps you on the edge of your seat til the very last second. Not to spoil anything but youβre right the tone will somewhat shift moving forward and the beginning of season 5 will introduce a new dynamic between a lot of characters. Canβt wait for you to see it but for now enjoy the glory that is this episode and this season !

2021-11-08 08:25:21 +0000 UTCYou finally saw it!! Always is perfection and such a great title beacuse the word means so much to Castle and Beckett. It's another way they say I love you to each other. It's funny you say this episode could have been a series finale. The creator/writer of the show said the first four seasons was a protracted beginning for the show but season five is where the journey really begins for Castle and Beckett. So in essence this was an ending. And I don't think you have to fear the New Girl thing happening with them.
