No they dont

John Walker Is That Dude

i don't think its confusion as much as it is inconsistency. based on what we've seen so far, monique's feelings about the ritual are completely different now than they were when she was sacrificed. she was crying and pleading for her life before. and yes it's understandable why coming back to life would make her believe in the ritual. but not to the point of KILLING her family member and the one person who loves her and just wants to protect her. i think that's steven's issue. that's quite a shift and not a very believable one. maybe it's explained later why she went to such extreme measures, but based on what we've seen so far...it seems a bit over the top. like that ending scene was just thrown in for shock value.

The fact that Sophie was killed by the same person she was legit tryna protect was so crazy. I was kinda disappointed at how you took that but its understandable since you're not too into witch stuff which leads you to have a tendency of disliking things associated with it especially if you're confused about the reason why something happened

The Ancestors suck, but anyway Monique has been with the Ancestors since the attempted ritual so they have been brainwashing her for awhile on top of all the brainwashing and teachings she had from her mother and the other witches before the ritual. She has been told by her family, the Ancestors and even Sophie herself that she doesn't believe so that is why Monique killed her, I thought it was crazy though since the actress who played Sophie was officially upped to cast member status only a couple of episodes before her death.

These next episodes in my opinion are going to be so good

Monique, like the other teenaged characters, were manipulated into the harvest in the first place, thinking that it was such a great honor. It makes sense that the witches' manipulation continues after death. Basically, Sophie is a disgrace to the witch community and Monique is a believer. It's quite literally like a cult. I won't say it's the strongest choice the show ever made, but it definitely makes sense. Also, I always thought The Originals did so much better when it came to the witch stuff, than The Vampire Diaries.

I Am Not Chamari

Yup I loved that Sophie was killed by the person she was fighting to bring back

Monique was manipulated by the ancestors. That combined with the fact that her mother was killed kind of as a result of Sophie stopping the harvest so I think it makes sense for her to kill Sophie. I love the witch stuff. For me, this is amazing and where the show really gets good.

Monique has been chillin with all the dead witches on the other side. They got inside her head so she's been manipulated but yeah it's pretty meh.
