One of my favorite episodes of the series! The scale of the betrayal is so grand, but you can also feel the absolute desperation from Rebekah where you can understand why she did it, but also still feel for Klaus... it's a tangled mess of betrayal webs and it all just pans out so excellently.

2021-11-18 19:44:50 +0000 UTCI love this episode! I think Elijah really had no other choice but to dagger Klaus otherwise he would've daggered Rebekah and killed Marcel. For the moment that was the only option, at least until he calms down a little and they can talk about it all. And let's not forget: Klaus loves both Rebekah and Marcel, they're family to him. So killing them would've haunted Klaus too and Elijah knew that and in good-old Elijah fashion he protected Klaus from himself.

From Rebekahs pov though Niklaus loves her and all he is very over reaching in his brotherly duties. To merely call it abusive (not saying you did, just figure of speech) would be the biggest understatement ever. Even Though i myself lean towards Klaus cuz hes my fav character, i personally was able to really empathize with Rebekah in trying to escape her otherwise tyrannical, controlling, manipulative big brother. HARSH, I KNOW lol. These are just the facts, so though marcels and rebekahs plan was super dumb i cant quite blame her for wanting to rid herself of niklaus’s grip on her and her life

2021-11-18 11:46:01 +0000 UTCThis episode and the revelation of what Rebekah did always left a shred of disappointment in me about her character. Because not only had she brought Mikael to New Orleans once in 1919 but she aided her father's side again in Vampire Diaries S3. I'm not necessarily disappointed in what she did to Klaus. There's a side to all of this; hers and Klaus. Although, I'm biased and lean towards Klaus more. However, I was just disappointed in the lack of knowledge/common sense behind her actions. If it didn't work out in 1919 why would it work in Mystic Falls years later? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...
