2021-11-24 09:24:51 +0000 UTCBro Steven i remember my 9 year old self just going bonkers when this episode first aired in 2004. Def a top 10 if not a top 5 ep for me. That last scene with rascal flatts playing in the background was so good. As a black kid who wasn’t too into country music at the time (wasn’t a cool genre to listen to at the time lol) Feels like today by rascal flatts was my first introduction to that genre and i really loved it & i still have it on my spotify playlist today

2021-11-24 05:55:09 +0000 UTCDC was weird back then and still sometimes now even in the Arrowverse about sometimes not using characters from the comics(sometimes because of the films like suicide squad etc). They couldn't use The Flash(Barry Allen) so they used Bart who is Impulse the comics and just hinted and Homaged The Flash. Bart is usually Barry's Grandson. In this it's just their own version of him with a nod to that with him saying he is from the future to Chloe. Bart in the comics and the young justice cartoon time travels from the future. In this he is from the present like Barry is normally has a similar version of getting his power and uses the Aliases of Barry, Jay, and Wally as nods to the comics Flashes. It's hard without spoilers to say who else wasn't allowed to be used during the show but there was a couple.
