It's the Kim problem. Elisha Cuthbert had a 3 season contract and they had no way to have her be involved in the story so they just kept having to contrive increasingly dumb situations to put her in. They have a much better solution for her in season 3. Honestly, I think season 1 is probably the best of the show, but it's still great.
