2021-12-11 19:05:40 +0000 UTCI think Rory is not suffering at the moment bc she hasn't realised yet how bad her decisions are. She is trying to settle into this "new life" but you could see her at Yale missing it and how miserable she looked at her introduction to the DAR. It will take some time I guess, but it's not like she is truly happy atm either. As for Logan: he is wondering how she could be happy without Yale (which is why he avoids the subject), but he is also supportive of his girlfriend. Meaning this is Rory's decision and nobody else can convince her how bad this is besides herself. Regarding Lorelai setting the date for her wedding, I think that in no world Lorelai would get married without Rory there. But she needed to tell Luke that so that he wouldn't think she doesn't want to get married, but that she rather needs her daughter there at that big day. She is not doing anything to patch things up bc it's up to Rory - the ball is in Rory's court. So Lorelai is waiting in limbo, yes, but there is really not much she can do about that. She needs for Rory to come to her senses by herself.

She is lost, trying to find her way to what she thinks her "new" future is supposed to be. We all go through those periods. Especially at her age. And I am sure we were all as intolerable as she is being. I get Lorelai not wanting to set a date right now. She is NEVER going to get married without Rory there, but she also knows that nothing she does right now is going to change where Rory's head is. She cannot fix this. Rory has to be the one to come to Lorelai, because if it's the other way around, Rory will just push back. She needs to hit bottom on her own to be able to get through it. Tough love, baby. And yes, the TJ stuff is ridiculous, and I wouldn't have it any other way!! Do have to say, though it wasn't mentioned... I am very much a dog person, and Luke's treatment of Paul Anka makes Luke's likeability drop significantly in my eyes. Sure he ran around and saved him when it came down to it, but he does not waste a chance to make it known how much he dislikes that dog. Want to smack the shit out of him every time. Though I do tend to be more of a dog person than a people person, so I'm biased.

2021-12-08 16:58:59 +0000 UTCThis behavior from rory has only come up twice before, the first episode when she met dean and wanted to skip on chilton because of him and when he slept with dean when he was married. In both instances I did not like her and this is no exeption, but this time I truly belive logan had no influence but just her surroundings putting her up on this high horse, always being shelterd and told how amazing she is and just one inctance of honesty broke her. I get it but she is just not my favorite right now

The ending of the episode shows us that she really misses school and she's just telling everybody she's fine and moved on, but it's far from the truth. She's making the best out of a situation she hates. And Logan knows she's just pretending.
