Sam is such a bad actor that everything they give him is just wasted material. On top of that he's a mediocre performer I can't believe he gets to stick longer than some of the most talented cast members. The creator must have had a big crush on him but I skip all his scenes because his "acting" gives me second hand embarrasment.

I don’t hate exploring that insecurity with Santana because we did see how much it hurt her in 2x15 when Brittany chose Artie over her (I realize it was more complicated than that but in Santana’s mind at the time, it wasn’t), and it was probably hard for Santana to wrap her head around Brittany having feelings for Sam - a guy Santana essentially used as a beard once upon a time. I think Brittany’s relationships with men were so unrelatable to Santana and so different from her own experiences with men that it was hard for her to understand it and ends up manifesting as this constant insecurity rooted in decisions she made when she was closeted. And that is fascinating and would have been interesting to explore—if it was clear that this was Santana’s stuff to work through and not a judgment or stereotype about bisexuals that the writers decided to throw in. So not only is it offensive but it was actually a missed opportunity.

2021-12-10 10:23:34 +0000 UTCBree is giving strong Santana vibes with that monologue ahaha! she's over the top and mean but that little scene made me laugh, she was so into it i died! she's 16 and i think prom is her biggest problem right now... i'd say, yes the cheerios are all super stereotypical but so are pretty much all characters on glee tbh... they're for sure all mean, starting with quinn, santana, brittany and becky, and then kitty and bree, but look at their coach... after, all our girls from the glee club seem to change and mature but at first, they're all stereotypes created by sue... for the songs, i love them! let it be was so good, and the dresses were so pretty! hey jude was super cute and the dani/santana duet was so beautiful

I know quinn was a bitch but she was a bitch with feelings😩😩 unlike that bri girl

2021-12-10 03:15:46 +0000 UTCI too am not familiar with many Beatles songs but the last two episodes were entertaining. I agree about Sam and Tina. I think I said this a few reviews back. Sam is always played for the joke and Tina is always played as annoying. Without giving away spoilers I will say I enjoy Sam more the second half of the season. They will always play him for laughs but he does get more grounded moments and episodes as the season goes on. With Tina unfortunately the show thinks playing up stereotypes is good story and it is not. This is when me being older watching Glee now takes away some of the enjoyment. Many things happened in this show when I was younger and maybe just too naive to realize how problematic they were then are hard to watch now. With that being said it is nostalgic for me and I have enjoyed this rewatch even when I cringe sometimes. This next episode is a hard one because the actors are not acting. Every emotion and tear is 100% genuine.

2021-12-10 02:53:04 +0000 UTCJust some information regarding next episode. Next episode is a tribute to Finn (Tribute to Cory Monteith). Cory had passed away during the summer break prior to the start of filming Season 5. I posted this in the comments for the Season 4 Finale Episode but posting it again since the next episode is The Finn Tribute episode. I think it might be hard to truly review the episode simply because you will see that the cast members weren't acting but showing their real emotions with very few comedic/"over the top" lines said in the episode. I don't want to spoil the storylines for that episode but just worth noting ahead of time that Cory was friends with all the cast members but particularly close to Lea (Rachel) who was Cory's real life girlfriend at the time he passed away (they started dating during the filming of Season 3 of Glee)/they were close friends before they started dating and Cory was also close friends with Naya (Santana), Chord (Sam), and Mark (Puck).
