And ironically Ursula is the first girl in the show who blew him off.

Clooney and Wyle had different names, worked in a different city, noting tied them to ER. Even on ER they barely shared any scenes. It was always weird seeing them in this episode together as friends, unlike in ER where they were merely coworkers.

Phoebe was so worried about him cutting her out for her sister and in the end...he didn't. It probably was the first time I noticed Joey has some depth to him.

ER was a big deal back during this time and both Clooney and Noah Wyle were well known for their roles on that show. Sort of like Helen Hunt in Mad About You from last episode. It connected the universes together, which was fun for the audience. This show did that before it was common with shows like the Arrowverse or even the MCU.

2021-12-14 19:43:49 +0000 UTCBack in the day when that episode aired, Clooney had his break-through on a medical drama called ER. The other doctor is Noah Wyle and he was the young med student through whose eyes that show started.
