I kind of like how we're dealing with Caroline this episode as well, but we didn't really delve far enough into it. Also, I don't remember how old Jeremy is exactly, but he's 1 or 2 years younger than Elena and she just graduated high school last season aka last year So, we're in the middle of Elena's freshman year in college, which means Jeremy definitely should be still in high school.

As you said, the whole thing with Elena's romantic life got super repetetive that year and keeps going in circles. Why we had to do this I still don't know, but I can promise it's all uphill from here. Season 6 is actually one of the best and moves the story forward in exciting ways. As for Stefan and Caroline, I always loved their friendship and this right here is where I truly started wanting to see them together romantically. As you said, they're perfect for each other.
