2021-02-11 09:02:42 +0000 UTCHi Brian. Great reaction as always. I am so happy you enjoy this show so much. This episode is one of the best of Season 1 and marks the mid-season finale in a way. The end of the first arc. You will find patterns in the next season consistent with this. Like what you see in the beginning of a season is never the whole picture and you'll be amazed by the end how far a season of 24 takes you, which includes this season. Regarding Kim and Rick, she is going through the stages of Stockholm Syndrome, a coping mechanism that happens in hostage situations. Basically in order to deal with the crazy situation she's in, her brain and feelings latched to Rick as a means of making the trauma easier to endure. And Rick actually helping her intensified that coping mechanism. It's quite interesting to watch when you know what the writers are going for and it plays itself brilliantly. Now Jack is awesome as always, he gives Rick a second chance because he knows how rare is for bad guys (based on his experience) to recognise their mistakes and actually trying to fix them. And regarding Kevin, he basically ran away as soon as he heard the chopper. He also mentioned to Gaines that he wanted to just split. Now Gaines is dead and Mr Drazen, the guy with the glasses who hired him has new assasins and a plan B. Can't wait for you to watch the next episode. Until next time...
