2021-02-22 20:10:04 +0000 UTC2) I don't believe Mal ever meant to leave them there. He was just triaging. They were in no immediate danger as the hill folk wanted a doctor, a live doctor. However Shepard Book was dying. 3) Simon has stated more than once that Rivers letters were written in a code for Simon to decrypt that said "They are hurting us, get me out" She couldn't just come out and write that as they were no doubt reading all correspondence. That is why she misspelled words and wrote about things that never happened. To both tip Simon off and keep with the code she created.

2021-02-11 17:43:25 +0000 UTCAs for the confusion you may have. 1) Simon was promising his father that he would become a brilliant doctor in exchange for access to a better net access so he wouldn't loose reports so easily. The not my house was a joke that Simons mother was the one who ran the house since she had already set it up.
