2021-12-08 02:22:22 +0000 UTCDuring the escape. Michael wanted to get rid of the patrol trucks so he waited for all of them to get in the no man's land before he went. He was also waiting for all guards to go near the actual prison and facing the other way (towards the prison not the fence) before he went. Makes sense that all the guards were focusing on the prison and the prisoners and escapees. During the chase the company came for them but they came without Sofia and LJ. Its simple. If they got caught. Gretchen would have killed them, taken Whistler and got rid of LJ and Sofia.
