Yes!!! Although short lived, it is one of my most favourite shows. Far from being a comedy show about nerds and high school drama, I found deep meanings in there.

2021-02-14 03:25:09 +0000 UTCSo here’s the deal with Lindsay. She didn’t used to be one of the popular kids, she used to be kind of a nerd. She was a “mathlete” who was squeaky clean and had perfect grades. But being there when her grandmother died and she saw her grandmother say that she didn’t want to die and that she didn’t see a light or anything, he totally changed Lindsay’s view on life. She’s going through an existential crisis of faith. She no longer wants that “perfect life”. The adults in her life see a girl that used to be a straight A student that was on a path to going to a great college is now skipping class and hanging out with the burnout kids who have no future. Linda Cardellini is so great in this show as Lindsey. That scene where she’s telling Sam about her experience with her grandmother is heartbreaking. The show isn’t just a comedy so much as a mix of comedy and drama. And it’s really great at both aspects.
