I knew once you were introduced to the original characters and the story you were going to like them. These characters while the maybe evil on the surface are so much more. And the originals peels back the layer in a fantastic fashion. I'm glad you're stoked

Exactly. They had been dealing with Klaus for 2 seasons and he did a lot of traumatic things to them. They took the win.

I know this seems chaotic but it's really not. I just think you are not connecting all the dots. I will say this again. In this show if you feel like something in the episode is weird or off or contrived or doesn't make sense it's probably cause you missed something or the show hasn’t gotten to the explanation yet. We all keep saying trust the writing but maybe you aren’t understanding the writing then I can see why you aren't feeling it. So let’s clear a few things up: Rebecca not telling Klaus about Caroline wasn’t a writing oversight. It was intentional. She doesn’t tell Klaus about Caroline because she wanted Klaus to leave with her right now, not go save Caroline or pick up Elena. Yes Klaus throwing shit at the house was supposed to be funny. When they go to enact their plan at the school and Alaric is about to stake Klaus Elena SAVES Klaus by figuring out Alaric is not an immortal vampire and will die if she dies. Lol I’m sure she wouldn’t mind hm dying but she knows it kills his entire bloodline. Klaus clearly heard this and that is why he grabbed Elena and ran off. He’s letting Elena die because then it kills Evilaric too. Klaus doesn’t want to get staked by him or run from him like they had to with Michael. Tyler DIDN’T just come back by himself. He did what Elena asked, he got Stefan (and everyone else) When Evilaric woke Damon up in the hallway of the school his phone was buzzing. That was Tyler. Evilaric also told Stefan and Damon to go save Elena and TYLER was how they knew where she was. Tyler then went in to untie Elena. That was a distraction so the other vampires had a shot at the whole desiccated spell. They know Klaus is desiccated and not dead. They are just using the word dead as a figure of speech. Why did they take out Klaus and not Evilaric, because Klaus was the more immediate threat. Since he was killing Elena. Furthermore if Klaus is desiccated and tossed in the Atlantic, Evilaric won’t be able to find him and stake him and take out Klaus’s entire vampire bloodline. The scene with Stefan and Damon in the car was to add to what Stefan said earlier in the episode that he and Damon have grown closer dealing with Klaus.

I really don't understand his "wow you're really gonna do this now?" every time Elena talks to them. It took 10 seconds, they're not in mortal danger right this moment. Why isn't he complaining that Stefan/Damon/Elena aren't sprinting to the house if time is so much of the essence? But he's fine with Damon and Stefan talking in the car. Because they're still driving while doing so (not 'wasting time') yet he goes off on Elena when she talked to Stefan for 5 seconds a few episodes ago WHILE looking for Alaric's ring.

Alaric can only die if Elena does. They desiccated Klaus so, one, he isn't a threat to Elena, and two, he can't get killed by Alaric and they all end up dying. If they stay in their houses Ric can't get in, and he is stuck inside during the day so they're good for now. I get how it can be confusing tho, just gotta trust the writing

Is there/would you consider a tier for TVD (and maybe some other reactions) for a lower price? I'm only here for the TVD ones and kinda wish there was a tier for just tvd or tvd+some others, cus now I'm paying for a lot of reactions I don't have interest in. I think you have tiers like that for some other shows, right? would be nice I think ;

I also thought it was weird that they began celebrating, but they're always on the losing side and have tried to put Klaus down for awhile. And yeah, Klaus isn't dead, he's just desiccated. All he has to do is feed on blood to come back to "life". Once they found Mikael, that's how he woke up.

I am very excited for you to get into The Originals! You will know when its time to start watching, they backdoor the pilot as many TV shows do. I actually know some people who have watched all of The Originals and loved it and have never seen TVD, I was talking with one of my university professors about Klaus and Elijah and then I mention Elena and he just goes "Who?". I do like it a little more in general as a TV show cause unlike TVD which is romance first its more vampire politics/family first. I can image you will like it more too based on what you like and dont like about TVD. Fun stuff to come!

I think this episode was mostly a set-up for the finale, which explains the weird pacing sometimes. They had to cover a lot of ground. But I agree it was weird that they celebrated while Evil Alaric was still out there. I'm excited to have you watch the finale though. It's a game changer in many ways.

Yeah i definitely get why you thought it was weird that they were celebrating. But i think it was moreso that they were celebrating that they got rid of one problem. They know Alaric is still a big problem but they just wanted to be happy that they finally got a win
