Jonathan Banks the actor from Breaking Bad was actually a cast member in the sitcom Community for a while. And of course Bryan Cranston was best known as the goofy Dad on Malcolm in the Middle before becoming Walter White. Actors will tell you that comedy is actually harder to do than drama, which is why you see so many great comic actors go on to become prestigious dramatic actors. It's always fun to see someone you know as a 'serious' actor do a great comedic turn though.
