Since this is going to be my last watch for a little while... 2 maybe 3 weeks, I wanna say something. Yes, Lionel is a horrible, HORRIBLE person, but there are times I see John Glover and think... man, he MADE Lionel. And honestly, I feel this show would not have been AS entertaining without him. Damn... I really hate that I'm not going to be able to see the next 2 reaction for a while. I WILL get back ASAPβπ

2021-02-28 06:51:47 +0000 UTCI think I know why people see some hate on Chloe. Personally when originally watching the show I liked Chloe alot, on a rewatch a bit less. But many people instantly asociate the character with the actress that plays her, Allison Mack. She was right hand of the leader of a sex cult masking as a women empowerment and support group targeting hopeful actresses just arrived in Hollywood not knowing anyone trying to make it. The actress who plays Lana even joined for a bit but quit once she saw it was not for her. "Mack was arrested in Brooklyn by the FBI on April 20, 2018, on charges of sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and forced labor conspiracy in relation to her role in the NXIVM organization. Mack pleaded guilty to racketeering charges in April 2019 and is awaiting sentencing." Human psyschology, negative association.

The actress is different from the character. I agree with you that's this is a pretty solid episode with a nice twist.

Especially cuz you're not a big Superman fan as well i thought you'd dislike the show for arbitrary reasons. I literally started watching this show at 6yrs old in 2001alongside buffy and angel. It is the earliest and most favorite show personally i've watched. Love that you love it.

2021-02-27 16:37:59 +0000 UTCWhy would you want to kill Lionel. He's an epic character and an amazing bad guy. I don't know about you but most fans love to hate him. I personally relish every scene he's in. He has great charisma and an excellent chemistry with Lex. Their back and forth are some of the best moments of the show. This episode is definitely underrated among the fandom. I definitely enjoyed your reaction to it.

Just so amazing how Lionel does this to himself but would rather blame it all the way back to Lex's coup, than ever admit anything is his fault. But it's also fascinating because Lionel can't be and doesn't want to be without Lex. It's spectacular to watch. And some foreshadowing with Lex and Clark as well. When they were talking about darkness "I think people like my father have a way of bringing it out." Just brilliant stuff.
