With Clara being weirded out, it’s a completely different thing from meeting his previous selves and still having “your” Dr right next to you than having him completely change and being all alone with this new one. Especially when he’s SO different from what she’s used to. 10 & 11 weren’t all that different from each other, if you’re only spending a day with them, which she did. Even the War Dr was older physically but he was still a kindly old man. 12 is such a turn around from all 3 of them. He’s MY Doctor but I can’t imagine having to instantly go from 11 to 12 and not be a bit put out by the changes lol

2021-05-17 09:27:59 +0000 UTCHonestly, I stopped watching Doctor Who after Matt Smith left so giving the new Doctor a try was quite the first-time experience for me. I felt like Clara the entire time, skeptical and wanting Smith to come back but he started growing on me. You call him "mean", I call him grizzled, when in actuality he was scared. I loved the phone call with Smith's Doctor telling Clara it's going to be okay and to help the new Doctor. That phone call scene was all I needed to continue this journey, great episode! 👍

2021-03-03 15:20:16 +0000 UTCIt took a WHILE for me to watch this season and give 12 a chance and he totally won me over. I love him and Clara’s dynamic so much more than Clara and the 11th Doctor. It just didn’t feel like 11 liked Clara that much ahaha maybe it’s just me that felt that way. Its just like how I loved Rose’s dynamic with the 10th Doctor more than the 9th Doctor. And both for completely different reasons. I honestly didn’t really like how Clara reacted here because she already knew about the Doctors regenerations in the 50th special. She never treated the other doctors the way she did this one and it just felt odd? Can’t wait to see the later reactions though :)

2021-03-01 13:30:38 +0000 UTCI'm not a fan of romance between The Doctor and their companion so i'm glad they moved on from that. Ah i'm so excited I can't wait to get into Capaldi's era. It didn't take long for him to become my favourite Doctor. I do like the idea of Clara learning to accept the new Doctor because she did have feelings for Eleven, but it didn't completely work for me. Clara more than anyone should understand, she jumped into his time stream and saw every incarnation of the Doctor, hell during the 50th special she was surrounded by Doctors.

2021-03-01 10:12:53 +0000 UTCCapaldi took longer for me to get used to than both Tennant and Smith. With Smith I loved him right off with The Eleventh Hour. But Capaldi grew to become my favourite eventually. He gets perhaps the most character development than any other regenration that comes to mind. Moffat was trying hard to remind fans that this is still Doctor Who with bringing all the familiar faces. The gang, Clara staying, Smith phoning. Its a solid episode overall.

2021-03-01 10:05:38 +0000 UTCGreat reaction, I love this episode, the dinosaur didn’t attack because astra before she went to the Tardis to the Policeman to put some devices that sends a frequency that keeps the Dinosaur in the River Thames, this episode has some of my favorite lines, “Who Frowned Me This Face” “Look at the Eyebrows, These are Attack Eyebrows, you Could Take Bottle Tops off with these” “I’m Scottish, Thats good, I Can Complain about things”, “ I Hate Being Wrong in Public, everyone Forget that happened” Then when the Doctor is holding up the silver tray and showing the Villain his face and he sees his own and says to him “You Probably can’t even Remember Where you got that Face From” and then at the end “I’m right here standing in front of you, please just, just see me” just brilliant lines And I love the connection to The Girl In The Fireplace, and then of course that Matt Smith scene was amazing, and now your Journey of My Favorite Doctor by light years has started, it only took 4 episodes for Capaldi to catch up and pass Tennant for me

2021-03-01 07:57:44 +0000 UTCThere are varying degrees of confusion after each regeneration. This regeneration is very similar to when the 3rd Doctor regenerated into the 4th. And a secondary character present at that regeneration commented, “Here we go again.” Just as Madam Vastra said here. In Classic Who, there was usually a companion present at a regeneration. And in New Who, Rose was there when Ecclestone changed into Tennant.

Rose was with the 9th doctor (eccleston) and then he regenerated into the 10th doctor (tennant) and she continued on her journey with him! I can't wait for you getting to know 12th's personality throughout his journey. He is different from all the new!doctors we knew. It's gonna take quite some time to accept him. I've always like the newly regenerated doctor in the get-go but it took me in the mid-season 8 to see him as the doctor. And now he's probably my 2nd fav after tennant but honestly, it goes back and fourth lol.
