BTW, you've wondered about the derelict bathroom. It's not in current use, It's one of the school's out-buildings from decades ago, before modern restrooms were added in the main building. It should have been torn down (or remodeled for a different purpose) long ago, but as often happens, nobody's gotten around to it, so it stands unused and falling apart. In the first episode, the headmaster warned against anybody going there (because of asbestos), so naturally :) kids do go there for secret meetings.

It’s also a song that’s an important part of one of my favorite movies “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” which is a must see coming of age teen drama, and if it doesn’t hit you in the feels, then you have no heart. 😭

The abortion storyline in this episode is beautifully and sympathetically done and that is a rarity. In general, the show is really wonderful in how humorous and yet honest it is about teens and sexuality. Your reactions are great and you have some very good insights and observations,. You Gen Z kids are very smart and open to the many facets of sexuality in life and on a show like this, which makes me very happy for the future, especially when there seems to be a lot of hatred and intolerance out there.

Also I don’t think sports are quite as big of a part of school life in European schools as they are in the US, but this is a more Americanized portrayal of a British school.
