Honestly, it kinda would have been a big deal if this mom had legitimately stolen a baby's toy. I wouldn't break into her house, but I get not dropping it, though.

And I also think he went overboard bcuz them believing it was stolen. If something was stolen from you, wouldn’t u go to great lengths to get it back? So yeah I think that combined with it being his baby’s and him wanting to be the best father he can to her propelled his decisions.
